Photo series of a Norwegian tour group in Iceland

Iceland is like an off-road vehicle paradise for us Europeans. It is pretty much the only place in Europe where you can still drive for more than a few kilometers on unpaved roads and dirt tracks. One of the pictures shows our campsite at the Eyjafjalla volcano, which significantly affected air traffic in the northern hemisphere in spring 2010. We drove in a convoy of five cars, four Mercedes Benz and a Toyota.

We organized ourselves through the Norwegian expedition website 'turpaahjul' (which translates as 'travel on wheels'). www.turpaahjul.com
